The Leone FX Co. Super Box is a hand-built fuzz pedal series that reimagines classic two-transistor fuzz circuits with more gain, more volume, and far greater tonal range. Rooted in the shared circuit lineage of the Vox V828 Tone Bender, Solar Sound Tone Bender 1.5, and Fuzz Face, the Super Box preserves the core feel and response of these vintage designs while pushing them into heavier, more powerful territory. It was developed from a custom request for a V828-style fuzz and evolved through circuit modifications and the addition of an expanded tone-shaping stage.
A defining feature of the Super Box is its wide-sweeping passive tone control inspired by Big Muff-style circuits, intentionally voiced to extend farther in both directions than traditional early fuzz pedals. Across its germanium, silicon, and hybrid configurations, the Super Box delivers thick, aggressive fuzz at full volume while remaining highly dynamic and responsive to guitar volume changes. Rolled back, it cleans up into sparkling, articulate tones; pushed hard, it becomes a dense, high-output fuzz suited for classic and heavy rock applications.
